The Woman Behind The Collective

The Woman After Collective was not created from theory. It was created from lived experience.

I did not create The Woman After Collective because I had life all figured out.  I created it because I know what it feels like to have life change you and then have to decide who you are going to be afterward.

I was born in Baltimore, MD and raised in both Baltimore and Washington, DC. Much of who I am today was shaped long before I ever understood words like healing, resilience, boundaries, or purpose. My early years came with experiences that forced me to grow up quickly. I learned how to survive, how to carry responsibility, and how to keep moving even when life felt heavier than it should have.

For a long time, strength meant simply getting through. But eventually I learned that surviving and truly living are not the same thing.

​

My journey has taken me through motherhood, military service in the US Army, career growth, relationships, growth, loss, heartbreak, personal reinvention, and seasons when I had to meet myself all over again. There were times when I poured so much into everyone and everything around me that I had to ask myself a difficult question: Who am I when I am no longer living for what everyone else needs from me?

Finding that answer required honesty.  It required boundaries. It required learning to
